Lori Whitmore days just aren’t right with BcT!

Lori Whitmore is 33yrs old and is a wife, mom and nurse to her youngest son. She joined Bootcamp Tulsa about 13 months ago.

Lori’s favorite thing about BcT is the family connection and support that it offers. Eight months after joining BcT, her husband was diagnosed with colon cancer at the young age of 39. They have five kids, and the youngest has a terminal illness. Lori explains, “I can’t tell you what it felt like to receive that news with the load we already carried. It hit hard but you know who was there for me? It was my BcT Sisters who really rallied around me during that time and extended their help. One friend told a girl at another BcT branch of our need for a nurse to stay with our son during my husband’s surgery and hospital stay. She graciously gave over 30hrs of her time to stay in our home with our son and care for him until we were discharged. That is without a doubt, the single greatest gift anyone has ever given me in my life…time with my husband that was absolutely irreplaceable.” I also received an extremely generous gift card to Whole Foods and hand crafted gifts to give to various nurses who were giving their time to our son who requires 24/7 care. People from BcT were texting me, messaging me and calling me asking if they could help cook meals, pick up our kids from school, clean our house, etc. The outpouring of love just kept coming. It was truly amazing.” These are just a few examples of the amazing women Lori starts her day off with. She loves how Coach JC reinforces how important it is for us to be our best while we’re there working out. He knows that if we can get that winning mindset at BcT, it will eventually carry over into our every day lives. As a result, we will not only become winners ourselves but we’ll also be able to help others around us win in life, too.

Lori keeps coming back to BcT because she knows it makes her the best “Lori”. She describes this as, “My life without BcT would be like trying to bake a pie without flour! ☺ BcT is the winning ingredient in the recipe of life! Just like you wouldn’t want to eat a pie made without flour, I wouldn’t want to live my life without BcT!” Lori does not want to be the “Lori” she was before BcT and believes that to be the “Lori” that God calls her to be she needs to be at BcT. She needs her BcT sisters, and they need her to remind each other of their goals, love one another, support and pray for one another. She needs to feel some pressure. We all need to feel needed and celebrated. She adds, “Life isn’t a dress rehearsal and neither is BcT. When you sweat, it’s real. When you feel pain and your muscles shaking it’s real. When you feel your heart pounding and you’re not sure how you will go on, it’s real. It’s real life preparing you for a real battle. “

Since joining BcT Lori has lost 28lbs and went from a size 10/12 to a size 4. When she made the choice to finally surrender to food that’s when she noticed a lot of the weight come off. She started out attending three days a week, and after about four months she started working out 5 days a week and noticed how much more toned she became . She says, “Once I became diligent with food and committed to be there at least 5 days a week, that’s when my results were maximized and it’s also when my mindset went into overdrive. I’m addicted…hardcore. My days just aren’t right without BcT.”

BcT has reinforced the decision that she made many years ago: “When life gets harder, that’s when I’m going to press in and do more, be more and love more.” BcT has not only helped Lori lose weight and become physically fit it has completely transformed her self image. She says, “For the first time in my life I feel like I not only own my own skin, but now I have a deeper understanding of who the woman under that skin is suppose to be. This has been a total game changer for me – not just mentally but also for our marriage and man, does that feel GOOD!! Without BcT, my long drive every day, my Coaches believing in me, my accountability partners encouraging me and my husband enabling me to attend I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Lori’s advice to potential new BcT members, “I would challenge anyone who is wondering if BcT is the right place for them, to consider this: “Are you 100% strong in EVERY area of your life? Do you feel like a WINNER mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and even financially?” As Coach JC often says, “When you lay your head down at night on your pillow do you feel like you were the best version of yourself today? The most important jersey you will ever wear in life is the one you put on every day with YOUR name on it! Do you own the moment?” If you want to be submerged in an atmosphere where you are celebrated, winning relationships are formed, goals are birthed, why’s are defined, and dreams are realized then BcT is the place for you! Fear is temporary but regret lasts forever. Be willing to sacrifice what you are for what you will become. I encourage you to join the Bootcamp Tulsa family TODAY and WIN ALL DAY with some of the greatest people you will ever have the privilege of knowing!”
